Day Camp

Previously known as Youth Commission, Camp Placid has served as a fun and safe place for children to attend throughout the summer for decades.
Every summer, our caring and enthusiastic counselors create a wide range of activities for campers of all ages. Our activities and field trips are fun, challenging and accepting of everyone’s individual abilities. Above all, we are a down-to-earth Summer Camp dedicated to ensuring that everyone will make memories to remember.

About: About

Summer of 2023

Regarding this upcoming summer, Camp Placid will start Thursday July 5th at the Lake Placid Elementary school. Once  the Horse Show comes to an end, Camp will be relocated Monday July 10th to the Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds.

Each day drop off will start at 8:30am. At drop off you have the opportunity to chose your child's lunch, provided for free by the Lake Placid Elementary School. After 9:15am our check in table will be closed so we encourage parents to walk their child to the long building we are based in to get them checked in. Snack(not provided) will take place around 9:30am and lunch will start about noon.

Pick-up ends at 3:30pm.

If you are looking for childcare before or after camp many of our counselors provide babysitting. For more information about babysitting please contact our director Gillian McLean at lpyouth@northelba.org
