Experience Camp Placid

Located in Lake Placid NY, Camp Placid(recently known as Youth Commission) has been welcoming campers ages 5-14 to participate in a wide variety of  activities and field trips for over 60 years. We are open to all youths who reside in the Lake Placid Central School District, who have family that pay taxes in the town of North Elba, or for children who attend any of the Lake Placid schools. We have a high staff to camper ratio that ensures every camper at Camp Placid has an safe and memorable camp experience in a safe and fun atmosphere. Located annually at the beautiful Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds.

We are a day camp  with a range of fun activities and trips that are unique to Camp Placid and that make the time with us so enjoyable and enriching for our campers. This Summer Recreation Program is sponsored by the Town of North Elba
